The allusive UFC heavy weight championship belt has changed hands many times in the recent years. The current holder is Cain Velasquez, a collegiate wrestler who has since turned to MMA. Let’s see how long the belt can stay in one place.

1. Cain Velasquez (11-1)

Velasquez looked dominate and unstopped in his rematch with Junior Dos Santos at UFC 155. Meeting again for the second time is UFC challenger, Antonio Silva. After a one sided dominate beat down at UFC 146, let’s see if Velasquez can hold the title at UFC 160.

2. Junior Dos Santos (15-2)

This is the man fans thought would hold the belt for a really long time. That thought was diminished after the brutal beat down handed out by current champion Cain Velasquez. Dos Santos is set to get back to his winning ways when he faces Mark Hunt at UFC 160.

3. Daniel Cormier (11-0)

The winner of the Strikeforce Grand Prix left the promotion on a high note after defeating Dion Staring. Now he will be met by long time UFC fighter Frank Mir at UFC on FOX 7.

4. Antonio Silva (18-4)

After winning in a bout where he was the major underdog, Silva proved he is a devastating force in the UFC by winning in KO in the third round against the striker Alistair Overeem. Silva has earned himself a rematch with the current champion Cain Velasquez at UFC 160.

5. Frank Mir (16-6)

A veteran at such a young age, Mir is no stranger to the UFC octagon. Mir looks to welcome Daniel Cormier to the UFC at UFC on FOX 7.

6.  Alistair Overeem (36-12,1)

After losing in such a devastating fashion, Overeem was slated to face former UFC champion Junior Dos Santos but was forced to withdraw due to an injury.

7. Fabricio Werdum (16-5, 1)

The UFC heavyweight is riding high on a two fight win streak. Werdum rematches Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC Ultimate Fighter Brazil Season 2 Finale in June.

8. Josh Barnett (32-6)

Barnett has been part of the MMA sport for a long time. He was riding an 8 fight win streak until it was snapped in the finale of the Strikeforce Grand Prix by Daniel Cormier. Since the demise of Strikeforce, Barnett turned down a UFC contract.

9. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (34-7, 1, 1 NC)

The longtime MMA practitioner just may be in the tail end of his MMA career. He is scheduled to face Fabricio Werdum at the season 2 finale of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil in June.

10. Mark Hunt (9-7)

Hunt is riding high on a four fight win streak; a streak no other heavy weight has been able to go on in a long time. Hunt puts his streak on the line when he faces Junior Dos Santos at UFC 160.
