Faber on Cruz and Barao: “Of course I’d rather punch Dominick in the face, but Barao is one of the guys who has earned his spot,” Faber said. “The guy’s on the biggest win streak in UFC history, and I think it was an uneventful fight last time, and I’d like to make it more eventful. That means getting a little more crazy in there. He did a good job of slowing me down last time. Dom actually moves a lot more but was actually easier for me to hit and do damage to than Barao. So I don’t know. It’s one of those things that I’ll probably fight both of them eventually anyway. I’m just going to kick back, relax and reminisce about the good old days with Scotty, and hopefully I’ll meet him in the finals for a belt one day too.”

Travis Browne on “illegal” elbow: “I remember hitting him with one, and the referee was right there,” Browne told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). “I could kind of see him standing off to the side, and he didn’t say anything. I hit him with two more, and by that time he was done.”

Uriah Hall on TUF 17 loss: “I was trying to have some fun, man,” he told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) after the fight. “A big part of it was it was it was kind of hard, too. I trained with the guy, and I like him. It was kind of that emotion I was trying to get rid of, so it was kind of weird. Going in the ring, I was like, ‘S—, here we go again.’ That side just kind of got the best of me, but there’s no excuse. Kelvin’s a great guy. He’s a tough kid. I think he’s going to go really far in this sport, and I’m happy for him.”

Miesha Tate believes the fight was called too early: “I’m pissed to say the least,” Tate said. “I’m definitely not happy. I mean, f—, I still feel like I was in the fight. I don’t for one second feel like it should have been stopped.”

Ronda Rousey on TUF 18: “I think the series, itself, has kind of gone away from the attention-grabby reality TV-esque kind of genre and more into just a documentary series on the toughest, most competitive tournament in martial arts,” Rousey told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) following Saturday’s TUF 17 Finale event in Las Vegas. “I think that it’s going to be very similar in this season, at least on my team. I’m going to have to remind these girls that this is the first impression you’re setting for women MMA fighters because this is a lot of exposure that they’re going to be getting. If they’re the chick that was screwing around the house, for the rest of their career they’re going to be known as the chick that was screwing around the house. Sponsors are going to be looking at that. Everybody’s going to be looking at that.”

Rousey on Fallen Fox: “If you’re a man who identifies as a woman, or a woman who identifies as a man, that’s something you can’t control. That’s not your choice. That’s just the way you are,” she said. “But being transgender, that does require a choice.” “I don’t think you should be able to compete as a woman. … Just the bone density and bone structure you have after you’ve gone through puberty as a man, it’s just an advantage over a woman.”
