The Middleweight division is pretty interesting at the moment. We’ve witnessed the end of the most dominating title run in the UFC, we’ve seen vicious jaw dropping knockouts and intense fights, and will have more to come before things are truly sorted out between the big dogs at middleweight.

For a while it was kind of boring to me to be honest. Anderson would just bully fighters in the cage. He didn’t even seem human. Then The All American earned his shot and told everyone he was going to finish Silva, as if we hadn’t heard that before.

On July 6th Weidman shocked the world and the division. I literally jumped out of my chair and screamed, “haha!” We got to witness a true “Rocky“ like moment,  depending on who you wanted to win. I’m looking forward to seeing how this all plays out.

Champion – Chris Weidman

1. Anderson Silva

One of if not the greatest mixed martial artist of all time, just ended his seven year reign as the middle weight champ. Coming off a second round knockout loss from the hands of Chris Weidman, Anderson is looking to take his belt back in what I think is the most anticipated rematch in the companies history on December 28 at UFC 168.

2. Vitor Belfort

It’s hard to argue Vitor’s place in the MW division. He Shut up Michael Bisping with his shin and in his last outing he took out Luke Rockhold, like a savage, with a spinning back kick. I’m super pumped to see him take on Dan Henderson on November 9th.

3. Ronaldo Souza

Jacare recently destroyed Yushin Okami in front of the 539,000 viewers on Fox Sports 1. Since his September 10, 2011 Strikeforce championship loss to Luke Rockhold, he’s racked up five dominating wins. I can’t wait to see what’s next for him.

4. Michael Bisping

He was on his way to a title shot before suffering a loss to Belfort, and then he edged out a unanimous decision win against Alan Belcher. If he wants to get back in the title picture, he is going to have to win his next fight in impressive fashion. He’s set to square off against Mark Munoz in Manchester on October 26th.

5. Mark Munoz

Since losing to now champ Chris Weidman, Mark was in a dark time in his life. He got back on track and looked impressive by beating Tim Boetsch via unanimous decision. I can’t wait to see him fight Bisping next month.

6. Yushin Okami

After stringing up three wins in a row, Yushin recently suffered a vicious round one knockout from Ronaldo “Jacare ” Souza. He doesn’t have a fight lined up as of yet.

7. Costa Philippou

Since March 19th 2011, Costa hasn’t lost a fight. He’s sitting on a five fight win streak and he’s set to face Francis Carmont on September 21st in Toronto, Ontario

8. Luke Rockhold

The former StrikeForce Champion made his UFC debut on FX 8 live. He lost via knock out from the heel of Vitor Belfort. Luke will be meeting Tim Boetsch on UFC 166, I’m looking forward to it.

9. Chael Sonnen

Even though he hasn’t fought in the middleweight division in over a year, Sonnen is still most defiantly in the top ten. After losing to Silva back at UFC 148, he has been giving light heavyweight a go. Chael lost to Jon Jones then came back and shocked the world by submitting  Shogun Rua. His next match is with Rashad Evans at UFC167.

10. Tim Boetsch

After taking out Okami and Hector Lombard, Tim has lost to Philippou and Munoz. Boetsch is looking to get back on track by taking on Luke Rockhold at UFC 166.
