Anthony Pettis (17-2 MMA, 4-1 UFC) cemented his legacy Saturday, and the journey hasn’t been an easy one. Pettis beat Ben Henderson three years ago to call himself the last WEC lightweight champion.

Not only did he defeat Bendo, but he did it with the highlight reel “Showtime” kick, and he did it in Henderson’s hometown. Years later after being derailed by Clay Guida and watching Bendo claim what he thought was his, Pettis returned home in Milwaukee in front of all his family, friends, and supporters, to defeat Benson Henderson (19-3 MMA, 7-1 UFC), and become the new UFC lightweight champion.

He also became the first person Bendo lost to in the UFC. It was a very emotional night for the dad, the brother, and now the new UFC champion.
