TUF: Brazil 3 – Episode 9

The episode opens with Team Sonnen head coach Chael Sonnen making the fight announcement of Team Sonnen’s Warlley Alves against Team Silva’s Ismael de Jesus for the last quarterfinal bout. The following day the coaches challenge finally takes place which is done in a series of soccer drills. Surprisingly, Sonnen is actually faster at the drills then Team Silva head coach Wanderlei Silva and accomplishes the goals and earns his and his teams money. Later on at the TUF house the fighters find rack of Hawaiian shirts and go out to the back to find a party with the Octagon girls in hula skirts. Everyone has fun and the night ends with everyone thrown into the pool.

In training sessions Sonnen makes the comment to the camera that if Alves looses the fight, he will call Dana White and encourage him to sign Alves, having that much confidence in him. The fight finally takes place with Alves controlling most of the fight. He finally is able to set up the knockout, once again shocking Team Silva who is slightly baffled by Team Sonnen’s comeback. However, Team Sonnen celebrates in the locker room once again. The episode ends with Sonnen announcing the final quarterfinal of Marcos Rogerio versus Jollyson Francisco.

TUF 19 House

TUF 19: Episode 4 – Stand and Bang

After loosing two fights in a row, Team Edgar starts to get frustrated. Leading up to the fight, Team Edgar’s Matt Van Buren begins to act out. There comes a point where he starts to call out Team Penn’s Chris Fields and targets him specifically for a future match up. Meanwhile leading to his upcoming fight, Team Penn’s Tim Williams talks about a brain aneurysm he had before a fight he was supposed to have against Chris Weidman. At the same time Team Edgar’s Dhiego Lima talks about his immigration and family life.

At the weigh-ins Team Penn begins to chant again which starts to irritate members of Team Edgar, including Lima who says he is going to silence them. The first round goes in Williams favor who controls both on the feel and on the ground, utilizing ground and pound against Lima. In round two Williams still maintains control, however Lima stays alert and in one stuffed take down is able to take Williams’ back and sink in a rear naked choke, submitting Williams. With that Team Edgar gains control. Next match is Corey Anderson versus Josh Clark.
