When woman’s MMA first started to heat up, there was one face we all knew and recognized. Now a days, there is only one face of woman’s MMA and it’s not Gina Carano. Ronda Rousey has completely dominated woman’s mma and the movie world.

She has surpassed anything a woman has done for the sport as of right now. Gina Carano had it all at one point. She had the look, the fighting skills and the popularity. Now it’s Ronda’s turn. Some had thought that the glory days of Carano are done, but they might have been wrong.

Rumors have surfaced of a possible title match July 4th weekend between the two former Strikeforce fighters. Carano was riding her huge hype train before it was derailed by the one woman some believe could be the one to beat Rousey herself.

Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino is the one woman some think is the “uncrowned” champ of the UFC. She beat the breaks off of Carano and we all want to see her face Rousey. Weight issues are still rumored to be a problem for Cyborg, but only time will tell.

The competition for Rousey is slim and the only fighter besides Cyborg that fits the bill, is Cat Zingano. Zingano earned her title fight by winning a fight in the UFC against Miesha Tate. Carano has done nothing to earn a fight in the UFC, let alone fight the best woman in mma for the title.

Carano’s last fight was in fact the one where Cyborg beat her down. She hasn’t fought since 2009 and has done nothing to earn a fight with Rousey. Carano has a decent striking game, but Rousey would eat her up with her grappling.

And what happened to having to earn your shot?
