Please note that due to inactivity, Dominick Cruz is currently ineligible for the rankings. Also the last rankings (5/30/14) are in parenthesis:

1. T.J. Dillashaw (1)

Despite his dominance over the bantamweight equivalent of Anderson Silva in order to capture the UFC Bantamweight Champship, T.J. Dillashaw is now set to face the man who’s title he took in Renan Barao. The title defense will take place at UFC 177 on August 30th.

2. Renan Barao (2)

Despite the fact that he got handled pretty well by T.J. Dillashaw, Renan Barao will get an immediate title shot against the new champion. In order to capture his title back he will have to show more aggression against Dillashaw or expect another Octagon whooping.

3. Urijah Faber (3)

Urijah Faber got his rebound win against Alex Caceres at UFC 175 on July 5th. While he is certainly still in the title hunt in the bantamweight division, Faber has stated that he has no intention of facing fellow Team Alpha Male teammate T.J. Dillashaw currently.

4. Raphael Assuncao (4)

It’s possible that Raphael Assuncao isn’t fully healed from his UFC 170 bout that resulted in a rib injury. That being said though he maybe next in line for UFC Bantamweight Championship and his win against T.J. Dillashaw maybe very marketable for such a match buildup.

5. Michael McDonald (5)

Michael McDonald hasn’t fought since his December 14th loss to Urijah Faber and as a result of his position on the rankings continues to drop. However, one must consider that against the right opponent McDonald could propel back into the title contenders picture.

6. Eduardo Dantas (6)

Even under the new Bellator system and Scott Coker‘s leadership, Eduardo Dantas should still be facing Joe Warren in his title defense.

7. Takeya Mizugaki (7)

Takeya Mizugaki will be facing who is probably his greatest challenge to date in former UFC Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz at UFC 178, on September 27th. However, if Cruz has horrible ring rust or isn’t the same from his injury it maybe an easier win for Mizugaki.

8. Bibiano Fernandes (10)

There is currently no word on who Bibiano Fernandes will have to face in his next title defense and it’s possible September is when he will.

9. Marlon Moraes (8)

Marlon Moraes currently is not scheduled for any title defenses anytime soon and it is unknown when he’ll defend his championship next.

10. Eddie Wineland (9)

Like many of the top ranked bantamweights, Eddie Wineland currently has nothing scheduled though with a busy UFC schedule might.
