Co-main Event: Alexander Volkov vs. Vitaly Minakov

Prediction: Minakov by strikes. Result: Same. It was a match up between two Russians and challenger Minakov came out on top this time.

Marcos Galvao vs. Tom McKenna

Prediction: Galvao by decision. Result: Galvao by strikes. Galvao’s return to the promotion after a hiatus is successful with improved striking.

Patricio Freire vs. Justin Wilcox

Prediction: Freire by strikes. Result: Same. Patricio Freire now receives a title shot against Daniel Straus and we’ll see if he wins this time.

Overall score: 3.5/4; 0.875 prediction percentage. The only match that wasn’t predicted correctly was Galvao’s win, making it shy of perfect.

Bellator 109 Predictions

Main Event: Alexander Shlamenko vs. Doug Marshall

Prediction: Shlamenko by strikes. Shlamenko hasn’t lost since his fight with Hector Lombard and he probably won’t loose to Marshall.

Co-main Event: Rick Hawn vs. Ron Keslar

Prediction: Hawn by strikes. Both Hawn and Keslar started out as late replacements and now find themselves a victory away from a title shot.

Will Brooks vs. Alexander Sarnavskiy

Prediction: Sarnavskiy by submission. This is the first tournament Sarnavskiy has gotten through since joining the promotion.

Nathan Coy vs. To be named opponent

Prediction: Coy by decision. If Coy still fights Saturday after Matthew Riddle‘s withdrawal, he’ll have the advantage of being ready to fight.

Terry Etim vs. Patrick Cenoble

Prediction: Etim by submission. Etim has more experience and is just coming from the UFC. He’ll be looking to establish himself in Bellator.
