This is literally one UFC double header weekend coupled with another UFC double header weekend. So with that let’s take an in-depth look:

UFC Fight Night: Te Huna vs. Marquardt

Main Event: James Te Huna vs. Nate Marquardt

Prediction: Te Huna by strikes. Result: Marquardt by submission. Marquardt made a triumphant return to the middleweight division.

Co-main Event: Soa Palelei vs. Jared Rosholt

Prediction: Rosholt by decision. Result: Same. The former Oklahoma State wrestler used his wrestling and faster speed to his advantage.

Hatsu Hioki vs. Charles Oliveira

Prediction: Oliveira by submission. Result: Same. Oliveira used his submissions skills to out grapple the former Shooto Champion.

Robert Whittaker vs. Mike Rhodes

Prediction: Whittaker by strikes. Result: Whittaker by decision. Whittaker worked his way to a decision though is capable of finishing fights.

Overall score: 2.5/4; 0.625 prediction percentage. 1 point for Rosholt’s win, 1 for Oliveira’s win, and 0.5 for Whittaker’s submission win.

UFC Fight Night: Swanson vs. Stephens

Main Event: Cub Swanson #4 Featherweight vs. Jeremy Stephens

Prediction: Swanson by strikes. Result: Swanson by decision. It was an extensive fight between strikers that saw Swanson come away.

Co-main Event: Kelvin Gastelum vs. Nicholas Musoke

Prediction: Gastelum by submission. Result: Gastelum by decision. He came in overweight and was classy in apologizing after the fight.

Cezar Ferreira vs. Andrew Craig

Prediction: Craig by decision. Result: Ferreira by decision. Ferreira was the superior striker but Craig certainly has a bright future ahead.

Ricardo Lamas #3 Featherweight vs. Hacran Dias

Prediction: Dias by submission. Result: Lamas by decision. Lamas defeated Jose Aldo’s teammate for his rebound win after the title shot.

Clint Hester vs. Antonio Braga Neto

Prediction: Neto by submission. Result: Hester by decision. Hester pulled a decided upset against Neto and some could say it was wrong.

Joe Ellenberger vs. James Moontasri

Prediction: Ellenberger by decision. Result: Same. This fight was without a doubt a fight of the year candidate between two UFC newbies.

Overall score: 2.5/6; 0.4167 prediction percentage. 1 for Ellenberger, 0.5 for Hester, 0.5 for Ferreira’s win, and 0.5 for Swanson’s victory.

UFC 175: Weidman vs. Machida

Main Event: Chris Weidman #1 Middleweight vs. Lyoto Machida #2 Middleweight

Prediction: Weidman by strikes. More then likely Weidman will be able to defeat Machida considering he figured out Anderson Silva.

Co-main Event: Ronda Rousey #1 Women’s Bantamweight vs. Alexis Davis #2 Women’s Bantamweight

Prediction: Rousey by submission. Rousey’s last fight proved how evolved her overall fight game has become and Davis’ last fight was dull.

Stefan Struve vs. Matt Mitrione

Prediction: Struve by submission. While Struve has been out because of a heart problem, he has the experience to soundly defeat Mitrione.

Uriah Hall vs. Thiago Santos

Prediction: Santos by strikes. While it seemed Hall had finally gotten his act together in his last fight, it is very hard to tell if he’s fully there.

Marcus Brimage vs. Russell Doane

Prediction: Brimage by decision. Brimage move down to bantamweight could very well bring about an advantage for him in the future.

The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale

Please note that due to the currently unset finals only three fights will be previewed.

Main Event: Frankie Edgar #5 Featherweight vs. BJ Penn

Prediction: Edgar by decision. Even though Penn is huge for a featherweight, he has lost to Edgar twice so a third loss will probably happen.

Co-main Event: Derrick Lewis vs. Guto Inocente

Prediction: Lewis by strikes. Lewis hasn’t lost in over three years including his UFC debut so he’s a very dangerous fighter to say the least.

Justin Scoggins vs. Dustin Ortiz

Prediction: Ortiz by strikes. Ortiz has been around quite a bit in very many promotions so he certainly has the experience to pull off a win.
