The conversion of Bellator 106 from a pay-per-view into a mega Spike fight card has made things more exciting this week so here’s the reviews:

UFC Fight Night: Machida vs. Munoz in Review

Main Event: Lyoto Machida vs. Mark Munoz

Prediction: Machida by decision. Result: Machida by strikes. Machida made it clear he’s willing to fight Anderson Silva for the title if necessary.

Co-main Event: Ross Pearson vs. Melvin Guillard

Prediction: Guillard by strikes. Result: No Contest. Things like this occasionally happen in the heat of the moment and it’s unfortunate.

Jimi Manuwa vs. Ryan Jimmo

Prediction: Manuwa by strikes. Result: Same. It’s unfortunate it had to happen by injury but Manuwa got the win and continued his rise.

Norman Parke vs. Jon Tuck

Prediction: Tuck by submission. Result: Parke by decision. Parke was able to control the fight and hand Tuck his first career loss.

Alessio Sakara vs. Nicholas Musoke

Prediction: Sakara by strikes. Result: Musoke by submission. The European fighter upset Sakara on his UFC debut possibly sending him out.

Phil Harris vs. John Lineker

Prediction: Lineker by strikes. Result: Same. Though Lineker won the fight, the win was plagued by Lineker’s missing weight for a third time.

Overall score: 2.5/6; .417 prediction percentage. 0.5 for Machida’s knockout win, 1 for Manuwa’s win and 1 for Lineker’s striking finish.

Bellator 105 in Review

Main Event: Alexander Sarnavskiy vs. Ricardo Tirloni

Prediction: Sarnavskiy by submission. Result: Same. As I said Sarnavskiy is a submission specialist and he did exactly that into the finals.

Co-main Event: Saad Awad vs. Will Brooks

Prediction: Awad by submission. Result: Brooks by decision. Brooks got vengeance by learning from his mistakes the first time around.

Siala-Mou “Might Mo” Siliga vs. Ron Sparks

Prediction: Sparks by strikes. Result: Might Mo by submission. To be blunt I don’t think anyone saw this coming from a career kick boxer.

Eugene Fadiora vs. Andreas Spang

Prediction: Fadiora by submission. Result: Spang injured, replaced by Keith Berry. Fadiora by strikes. Fadiora won his Bellator debut, simple.

Overall score: 1.5/4; 0.375 prediction percentage. 1 for Sarnavskiy’s win by submission and 0.5 for Fadiora’s win by strikes and not submission.

Bellator 106 Predictions

Main Event: Michael Chandler vs. Eddie Alvarez

Prediction: Chandler by submission. Bellator’s been making exceptions to its’ tournament rule but it will be great and I think Chandler will win.

Co-main Event: Pat Curran vs. Daniel Straus

Prediction: Straus by decision. Curran won in their first encounter but that was four years ago and Staus is on a five fight winning streak.

Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal vs. Emanuel Newton

Prediction: King Mo by strikes. The fact of the matter is that a spinning back fist normally doesn’t land so Newton got lucky, Mo will look for it.

Joe Riggs vs. Mike Bronzoulis

Prediction: Riggs by strikes. Rescheduled from Bellator 98 and things haven’t changed. Riggs is experienced but Bronzoulis could win an upset.

Mike Richman vs. Akop Stepanyan

Prediction: Richman by submission. Richman is looking for a rebound after his loss to Frodo Khasbulaev in the season 8 tournament finals.
