The Unified Women’s Rankings (formerly the WAMMA Women’s Rankings) were recently updated on March 1st. I would like to quote the rules for the rankings as laid out on the rankings website:

“The Unified Women’s Professional MMA Rankings are assembled each month by a panel of journalists from multiple MMA websites and publications. These rankings were the first women’s mixed martial arts rankings by division and weight class and are considered by most media outlets as the official women’s MMA rankings. Fighters under suspension or who have not competed within the past 12 months are not eligible to be ranked. Fighters who vacate a weight class will no longer be ranked in that division.”

At present even though MMA Freak does not have any writers on the panel, it is used at the rankings system. However, as MMA Freak is creating a rankings panel this will not be the case after the rankings are updated in April:
