Preliminary Card Results
Bantamweight: Mike Kubeska vs. Fard Muhammad
R1.
Both men come out measuring each other before Muhammad throws some good punches and puts Kubeska against the cage. The two hang on the cage and break away. Sudden punch from Kubeska puts Muhammad on the floor. He recovers however and they go to the ground with Kubeska in Muhammad’s guardd. Kubeska uses some ground and pound. Muhammad reverses before Kubeska goes for heel hook. Muhammad uses an illegal kick and is warned by the ref. The continue in the north south and Kubeska tries a second attempt at the heel hook. He then tries for a knee bar. They break apart and return to standing. Muhammad uses a trip to take Kubeska down. Ref stops to warn about Kubeska about grabbing the cage with his feet. Muhammad uses ground and pound after they continue. Returns to Kubeska’s guard. Muhammad drops his mouth piece and match continues. Muhammed ends ground and pounding.
R2.
Muhammad starts exchange and slips but they return to their feet. An attempted throw results in a take down for Muhammad. He works in Kubeska’s guard. Muhammad drops his mouthpiece again and is warned. Match continues with Muhammad in Kubeska’s guard. Muhammad finally gets in some ground and pound. Muhammad drops his mouth piece again and they stand up. A straight right puts Muhammad on the mat while Kubeska takes his back. Muhammad roles into the guard and Kubeska attempts an armbar. He cotinues to sit on top and straightens the arm. Muhammad picks him up and slams him and gets in some ground and pound before the round ends.
R3.
Two meet in the center and a kick and exchange from both mean yields no results. Muhammad throws a left and right to no effect. An exchange leads to a take down for Kubeska who roles into a triangle attempt and then an armbar attempt. Muhammad gets out and starts ground and pound on top. Muhammed drops his mouthpiece again and is docked a point. He lays on top with nothing happening. Kubeska attempts some punches from the bottom. Muhammad attempts a slam. Kubeska continues his punches from bottom. Kubeska works to a triangle attempt but to no avail. Ref stands them up. Muhammad attempts a takedown and gets it against the cage. Kubeska again attempts punches from the bottom. Kubeska gets tape out of his glove and the match is paused. They continue from the position and Muhammad throws punches to the ribs and face. Kubeska attempts a guillotine and the two men stand up before Muhammad takes him down again. Match ends with Muhammed on top.
Result: 28-28 28-27 28-27 Unanimous decision Fard Muhammad
Lightweight: Erin Steans Jr. vs. Jalin Turner
R1.
Steans goes for a takedown and keeps on the offensive. Both men break away and Steans is knocked out by Turner.
Result: Knockout at 38 seconds in first round for Jalin Turner
Flyweight: Heinrich Wassamer vs. Keenan Lewis
R1.
Men meet in the middle and measure each other. Lewis throws a punch and misses. After other exchanges Lewis takes down Wassamer and goes into his guard. Wassamer attempts a gogoplata. Wassamer goes into side guard. He attempts punches from the bottom. Both men grapple and there’s an attempt at a sweep to no avail. Both men are stood up. Exchanges leads to nothing exciting. Lewis gets behind and slams Wassamer down. Round ends.
R2.
After meeting in the middle Lewis tries two kicks the second of which results in a brief take down for Wassamer. After getting up Lewis gets a takedown of his own. Wassamer attempts another gogoplata. Both men stood up and Wassamer stops a takedown. Wassamer kicks and Lewis throws. Lewis tries another takedown and gets his back taken and Wassamer tries a triangle choke. He then throws knees to the head then tries a keylock then armbar before Lewis gets out ontop. Lewis attempts some ground and pound. Round ends with little improvement.
R3.
Lewis attempts a takedown and gets it in Wassamer’s guard. Lewis attempts ground and pound. Lewis gets mount before they stand up. Lewis attempts another takedown and eats shots on the way down. He gets stuck in a rear naked choke attempt and taps.
Result: Heinrich Wassamer by rear naked choke at 3:02 in the third round.
190 Catchweight: Garrick Evans vs. Isaias Alvarado
R1.
Both men meet in the center and Alvarado takes Evans down. Evans attempts a gogoplata. He tries to get back up on the cage but eats shots from Alvarado while doing so. They stay up against the cage with Evans attempting a standing kimura. Alvarado throws some punches before taking Evans down again. Evans goes for a leg lock and both men stand up. Alvarado throws some punches and takes Evans down again. Alvarado then throws punches before Evans attempts another ankle lock. Alvarado then throws punches until the ref calls it off.
Result: Isaias Alvarado by technical knockout at 3:21 of round one.
Flyweight: Steve Ramirez vs. Kyle Estrada
R1.
The two meet in the middle and Ramirez throws leg kicks and punches. A brief exchange leads to Ramirez getting kicked in the nuts. John McCarthy gives him time. After recovery time they continue. Ramirez hits Estrada with a hard left hand then follows it up with more punches until Estrada goes down and the fight is finished.
Result: Steve Ramirez by knockout at 1:01 in round one.
Main Card Results
Welterweight: Andrew Ramm vs. Ozzie Alvarez
R1.
Both men meet in the center and measure each other. Ramm takes the center of the cage and throws a few kicks to no avail. Alvarez throws some kicks and is able takes down Ramm. Ramm attempts a gogoplata attempts a triangle choke. Alvarez is able to maneuver out of it. Alvarez attempts ground and pound and gets a few punches in. After sitting in a butterfly guard they are stood up. Ramm again takes the center of the cage. Ramm attempts a leg kick which does nothing. Ramm attempts a spinning back fist and is almost taken down by Alvarez. round ends.
R2.
Ramm again takes the center. Ramm attempts a leg kick which partially connects. An exchange leads to nothing. Alvarez tries an exchange and lands but not significantly. Alvarez throws a left right combo. Ramm controls the center until Alvarez attempts another combination. He throws a left right combo to little effect. After a failed kick from Ramm, Alvarez throws a left right left combo. Alvarez throws two more one two combos. After a combo, Alvarez tries a takedown and succeeds. Ramm then attempts a gogoplata. He losses it and Alvarez attempts ground and pound.
R3.
Ramm attempts a kick but is taken down by Alvarez. Alvarez attempts ground and pound with punches to the ribs. Both men attempt to improve to no success. They are stood up after a while. The two dance around and John McCarthy orders the two to be active. Alvarez gets the better of the brief exchanges. Alvarez attempts a takedown but both men scramble and neither gets a take down. Round ends with a good punch from Alvarez to Ramm.
Result: 30-27 30-27 29-28 unanimous decision win for Ozzie Alvarez
Welterweight: Jamie Yager vs. Daniel McWilliams
R1.
Both men meet in the middle of the cage and start to grapple as they press up against the cage. McWilliams is able to counter Yager and put him on his back. McWilliams is able to pull an ambar against Yager.
Result: McWilliams by submission at 38 seconds in round one.
Bantamweight: Timur Valiev vs. Chris Gutierrez
R1.
They meet in the center of the cage. Both men attempt kicks which don’t connect. Gutierrez attempts again and misses. He tries a front kick which fails. Valiev attempts as well and fails. Valiev tries several in succession which fail to connect. Valiev attempts take down which he gets. After a scramble both men are up. They scramble against the cage and separate after a scramble. Kicks are thrown by both men which miss. Both men connect and Valiev pushes Gutierrez against the cage. They separate and again try kicking and missing at each other as the round ends.
R2.
Both men attempt kicks which miss. Valiev backs Gutierrez against the cage and attempts several kicks which miss. Valiev briefly connects to Gutierrez but it has no effect. He actually connects and is then able to take Valiev down. Gutierrez gets back up and Valiev knees Gutierrez’s leg until he is able to take Valiev down again. He atttampts ground and pound and is able to get some elbows in on Gutierrez before moving to side mount. They move back to guard and Valiev is again able to use ground and pound with elbows. Valiev briefly mounts before the round ends.
R3.
Valiev takes the center of the cage. Gutierrez attempts a kick and misses. Both men attempt kicks and punches which miss even when Valiev backs Gutierrez up against the cage. Valiev connects with a kick and again near Gutierrez’s head. Valiev begins connecting regularly with kicks. He attempts a flying kick which fails. Gutierrez tries a spinning kick which fails. Gutierrez runs Aliev down who despite being dropped reverses with a takedown before the end.
Results: 27-30 29-28 29-28 decision for Chris Gutierrez
Bantamweight Championship: Marlon Moraes vs. Joseph Barajas
R1.
They meet in the center and Moraes throws a few leg kicks which connect lightly. One leg kick almost puts Barajas down. One kick puts Barajas down and injures him and Moraes wins the fight.
Result: Technical knockout via leg kick at 1:13 of the first round for Marlon Moraes
