Top 10 MMA Flyweights (4/28/16)
1) Demetrious Johnson (1)
Demetrious Johnson dropped out of a scheduled title defense against Wilson Reis at UFC 201 for an injury. Johnson is for sure defending his title against the winner of TUF 24 taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada on Dec. 3rd.
2) Joseph Benavidez (3)
Following sometime off, Joseph Benavidez will coach opposite Henry Cejudo on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Benavidez vs. Team Cejudo. The two will essentially be coaching the eventual next challenger for the flyweight belt.
3) Henry Cejudo (4)
Henry Cejudo will coach opposite Joseph Benavidez on this upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter. The two coaches will fight each other at the Finale to take place at the in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, December 3rd.
4) Jussier da Silva (5)
After sometime off, Jussier da Silva will be fighting Dustin Ortiz at UFC Fight Night: Cyborg vs. Lansberg on Saturday, September 24th. Silva is the only top five ranked flyweight to never fight Demetrious Johnson.
5) John Dodson (2)
John Dodson‘s move up to bantamweight is why he is ranked so low as a flyweight despite a win at said weight.

Riding a two fight winning streak, Kyoji Horiguchi is looking to extend it to three against Ali Bagautinov when the two face off at UFC Fight Night: Lamas vs. Penn in Pasay City, Philippines at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Wilson Reis defeated Hector Sandoval as a replacement for his title fight against Demetrious Johnson. It is unknown if Reis will eventually receive the title shot before the TUF 24 Finale or if he will have to earn it once again.
