Does Chris “The All-American” Weidman deserve a title shot?

Comparatively to some fighters who fought Anderson “The Spider” Silva in the past, he definitely could make a strong argument for his position. I believe that the UFC was considering giving the fight to Mark “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” Munoz if he’d won impressively and are now holding their breath to see what Hector “Shango” Lombard will do in his UFC debut. That’s not a bad idea.

Weidman destroyed Munoz by a second round TKO finish and should at the least be considered in the top five of the division. He deserves a title elimination fight in my opinion. Give him Bisping, Stann, or Sonnen and let him decide his destiny with a guaranteed shot at the title if he takes out another top guy.

Does Joey Beltram have a place in the UFC’s dangerous Light Heavy Weight division?

I’m not sure if it is fair to assess his overall capabilities when he lost to a very dangerous opponent last night. He also earned half of the reason that fight was considered fight of the night, even though it was a fairly one-sided ordeal. James Te Huna marched his way to a very decisive unanimous decision win and even earned a 30-26 on one judge’s score card.

I say give Beltram another fight and keep him on the payroll as long as he doesn’t drop two UFC fights in a row. Give him some new blood and let him claim gatekeeper status until he gains some momentum.

Who Should Aaron Simpson and James Te Huna face next?

Te Huna deserves a top ten fighter in my opinion. Let’s face it; all those guys in the rankings have lost to Jonny “Bones” Jones. I believe it would be in the UFC’s interest to do what they are doing with Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Glover Teixeira and change the guard a little faster than usual this time.

Aaron Simpson looked great in a dominant performance against a tough opponent. But let’s kill two birds with one stone and face him off with John Fitch to determine who deserves the title for “The Ultimate Snoozer Fighter.”
