Earlier at the weigh-ins, Michael Bisping and Vitor Belfort squared off for the final time before their main event bout tomorrow night at UFC on FX. It didn’t take long for Bisping to move forward while waving Belfort on, as if he was ready to fight right then and there.
Now either Bisping is too cocky, or Belfort not confident enough, because so far Bisping has done nothing but promise a dominant performance on Saturday night, while Belfort seems upset with all the trash talk from his opponent, yet doesn’t seem to have an answer for any of Bisping’s antics either.
Bisping has insulted Belfort’s culture, religion, and personality to the media leading up this fight. Just read what Bisping said below after he slapped Belfort’s arm away during their stand off at the pre-fight press conference a couple days ago.
“You know we went to do the square up and normally I like to kinda get near my opponent but he had his arm fully outreached.. and then started making contact with my chin. And then when I went to move it away cause, you know, listen don’t touch me, I went to move it away and he got all fired up and he lost his cool. You know he says that I’m a hooligan, I’ve turned up dressed as a professional sportsman, he turned up dressed as a hooligan and he acted like a hooligan, so all this talk of Jesus, and the bible, and honor and respect went out the window. Yah Saturday night listen, he’s pumped for the fight. I can’t wait. That was perfect you know. That was a great press conference, well no. He bored the shit out of me the entire time. But at the end of it he showed a bit of personality for once. He dropped the Jesus act and fuckin got real for a second so that’s perfect. Yah it’s gonna be a great fight, its fireworks. Fireworks guaranteed. Let alone the fight, the weigh-ins is gonna be good. But do I have to bring the mouth piece? Can he control himself? Is roid rage gonna kick in? Is the TRT an issue or is his levels elevated? I think so. Have his testicles shrunk? I think so. Does he have a penis? He is a penis. Just because he is a penis doesn’t mean he has a penis.”
Luckely for fans of MMA, there won’t be much left in doubt after Saturday night. Don’t forget that if Bisping can pull this off, he’ll have a shot at Anderson Silva. This will be an interesting dynamic in his post fight interview with Joe Rogan, should he secure a win against The Phenom.
