One of the world’ fastest growing MMA promotion’s, Absolute Championship Berkut (ACB), makes it’s UK debut in Glasgow on Saturday October 1 with the now iconic SSE Hydro Arena set to stage this historic event.
Headlining the event is Scottish MMA star Robert Whiteford who will once again have the opportunity to walk out to a spine tingling rendition of Flower Of Scotland – one of the most memorable moments of the night when the UFC visited Glasgow last year.
Whiteford said: “last year walking out to fight at the Hydro was a dream come true for me, I had visioned it in my mind for some time – and waking out in my home nation to the national anthem put my hairs on end. The atmosphere was electric. I really wasn’t sure what my plans were post UFC , I fight because it’s a way of life for me, but when the idea of headlining ACB in the Hydro came came up I knew it was the right show for me. The venue is special to me and the supporters are even more so. Can’t wait to walk out to another full house. – let’s do this Scotland!”.
ACB have gone all out to secure a fight card stacked with the best and most exciting fighters from around Europe along with some ex-UFC stars such as Norman Parke, Mike Wilkinson, Saul Rodgers and Ryan Scope. This is certainly a night not to be missed.
