2017 World Wrestling Championships
United World Wrestling, formerly known as FILA, hosts the annual championships for amateur wrestling on non-Olympic years. The event started on Monday, August 21st and will run through Saturday, August 26th. The Greco-Roman men’s category has already finished with Russia taking the team title in that division and the women’s freestyle division currently underway. Olympic Gold medalist Helen Maroulis has repeated her success in the Olympics last year this year with a world championship. Men’s freestyle will conclude the competition.
