Episode 6: Fight Through the Pain
With American Top Team getting their first win, moral is at an all time high.
For their next round picks, ATT chooses veteran Marcelo Alfaya while on Rashad Evans’ recommendation for the Blackzilians’ next pick is that of Jason Jackson.
The match takes place and the atmosphere at the ATT gym is intense with drums going and Dana White says it feels like an actual UFC fight.
At the fight, Blackzilians members Eddie Alvarez and Michael Johnson are present.
Ultimately Jackson comes out with the majority decision win.
Episode 7: Eyes on the Prize
A new rule to this season is introduced in that the head coaches may substitute two fighters in for two fighter who are either injured or have under performed.
Because of Andrews Nakahara‘s medical suspension, he is pulled from the competition by Glenn Robinson and is replaced by Alexandre Pimentel.
Dan Lambert also decides to replace Steve Montgomery who is also under medical suspension due to his seizure and replace him with Cristiano Souza.
For the match, ATT’s Nathan Coy is matched up against Vicente Luque.
The match goes to a third round when Coy gets careless and Luque is able to pull an anaconda choke submission.
Episode 8: Lightning Strikes Twice
In the locker room, Glenn Robinson automatically announces that Felipe Portela will be the last 50 point match fighter for the Blackzilians.
Anticipating such a choice, ATT chooses Hayder Hassan as the two faced each other in the past at a Titan FC event.
During the buildup for the bout, Thiago Alves helps Hassan train for the fight.
Before the fight, Anthony Johnson and Matt Mitrione both give encouragement to Portela to win.
The fight ends in a majority decision for Hassan and Jessica Aguilar congratulates Lambert for the win.
Episode 9: No Guts, No Glory
With the 100 point matches coming up fights picks become crucial for both teams as there’s little margin for error.
ATT chooses Steve Carl for a chance at redemption whereas the Blackzilians choose Kamarudeem Usman who at first plays a joke on them about not wanting to fight.
Tyrone Spong and Jorge Santiago are both confident in Usman to win and bring the home gym advantage back to the Blackzilians.
The fight takes place and Usman controls the fight from the beginning and comes away with the unanimous decision.
With the Blackzilians leading 300 points over ATT’s 100 points and only three 100 point fights left, there is no more margin for error on the part of ATT.
