In the Team Dillashaw locker room coach TJ Dillashaw talks to both Dhiego Lima and Gilbert Smith about his coaching strategy for the two. He says that he won’t be in either fighters corner but he will coach each fighter on how to defeat the other and won’t be biased towards either fighter, which both fighters agree to.
Later on both coaches decide to take both teams on a night out on the town in a rented party bus.
Some of the guys complain that there are no girls to get on the pole in the bus and in reply Jesse Taylor jumps on it. During this whole time Gilbert Smith is in the back of the bus looking serious.
The group goes to a Japanese hibachi grill restaurant where they all enjoy themselves and Joe Stevenson says that this is the best season of The Ultimate Fighter he has been on. However, in the midst of all of this Gilbert goes to the restroom and everyone feels that he is being a party pooper.
Later on he is seen running in place in the restroom and he says that he doesn’t feel he has anything to celebrate yet until his fight is done.
With only one fighter from Team Garbrandt left in the competition, the coaches decide to pull a prank on Team Dillashaw.
They do this by take a strip of red tape and making a snake tong coming from his mouth. They not only do the same thing with the large picture handing next to Cody Gabrandt‘s in the gym, but also put tape over his nipples.
The last thing they do is change the name on the bottom.
In response, the Team Dillashaw coaches hand out tee shirts to the team members that says “Killashaw Team Ninja” and also has the motto “strike hard, strike fast, no mercy”.
During the match, both fighters fight hard until they go to a sudden death third round and ultimately Lima comes away with the decision win.
After the match, Smith retires from MMA as he feels that he no longer has the passion for the sport and that he will not have another opportunity to get into the UFC after this season.
He talks with members of both teams including the coaches and following his thanking the team and doing a cheer for season 25, he leaves his gloves in the middle of the octagon.
