Rory MacDonald and Jake Ellenberger let the fans down. Don’t talk so much crap if you’re just going to play the point game. GSP vs. Rory would be a boring fight. Rory MacDonald is nothing but a lower class GSP with an attitude complex. I personally don’t think it matters because I see Hendricks shocking the world and beating GSP, but we shall see.
Melving Guillard proved adversity and how to put on a show. Guillard was dealing with the death of his grandmother and the scheduled brain surgery for his sister and proved that no matter how bad life is, that you can still overcome the odds. Danzig is a good wrestler with decent BJJ, which has always been Melvin’s downfall, and he didn’t let nothing get in his way. That’s a true warrior.
Demetrious Johnson proved that he is someone to mess with and is one of the most dangerous flyweights. I just don’t think fans and spectators know what they are talking about as far as there being “no one” left for him. Joseph Benavidez is still a top contender at flyweight and would give “DJ” another tough fight, especially since Duane Ludwig has joined Team Alpha Male. Beware of that rematch “Mighty Mouse” fans.
DJ Quote: “I’ve beat the best of the best in the flyweight division, and there are still up-and-comers in there,” Johnson said at Saturday night’s post-UFC on FOX 8 press conference in Seattle. “I know there’s some key matchups coming up pretty soon. … There are still a couple of flyweights out there that I haven’t fought yet, and I wouldn’t mind fighting them. It’s whatever the UFC wants me to do.”
