Frank Mir and Alistair Overeem have apparently agreed to compete at UFC 167 (The Las Vegas Review). Mir (16-8) just coming off his loss to the returning Josh Barnett, suffered his third straight defeat in the Octagon. The losing skid is the first ever in Frank’s mma career, never even having lost two, let alone three fights in a sequence.
Alistar Overeem (36-13) is also on a losing streak, having been knocked out in his last two fights, could signify the last time he steps foot inside the UFC’s Octagon, if he is to lose his third straight to the 34 year old Mir.
With an already stacked event, UFC 167 takes place on November 16, 2013. The card features nothing but a great lineup on paper including welterweight championship fight between current champion Gorges St-Pierre, and title challenger Johnny Hendricks.
The MGM Grand will be hosting UFC 167 and the Nevada crowd might be the last to witness either one of these two dominant and seasoned heavyweights.
