After a huge night on Raw, what is next for The Shield, Daniel Bryan, John Cena and The Wyatt Family? When we last left Raw, we saw Daniel Bryan laying in the middle of the ring after being laid out by Triple H and the hostile Chicago crowd left without the return of their hometown hero CM Punk.
The March 7, 2014 edition of Friday Night Smackdown from Detroit was a big one.
The show opens with Batista. The crowd welcomed him with a plethora of boo’s. After Raw ended with DB laid out, it was only right they focused on him during this week’s edition of Smackdown.
Daniel Bryan came out to discuss the main event from RAW. Kane arrives and attacks Bryan only to be rescued by the returning Big Show. This sets up the main event for the evening between DB and the Big Show vs. Kane and Batista.
First match: Christian defeated Dolph Ziggler with the help of a Del Rio distraction from the commentary spot.
The Uso’s defeated the team of Ryback and Curtis Axel.
Eva Marie and Natalya defeat AJ Lee and Tamina Snuka. Natalya made AJ tap out.
The Shield is not broken up….yet. The Shield hit the ring. They all say they need to get back on the same page. Ambrose and Rollins get into it before Reigns plays saver. The Shield are still together, for now.
Sheamus defeats Alberto Del Rio via Brogue Kick.
Big E defeated Jack Swagger with more tension between the Real Americans.
Alexander Rusev and Lana come out to cut promo again.
Big Show knocks out Kane. Bryan gets the pin. Show and DB win and end the show with YES chants.
Big Notes: No Wyatt Family and no Cena.
There is so much talent in the WWE and very few spots left for WrestleMania 30. Smackdown is just looking like a small platform to see who will get the last few remaining spots at Mania. Ziggler, Del Rio, Sheamus, Christian, Mysterio, Big Show, Mark Henry, Kofi Kingston. You can bet all these guys want their chance to showcase their skills on the biggest stage of them all at this year’s WrestleManai.
