Thanks to my buddy J. Jacobs for the results for the 2/28/14 edition of Friday Night Smackdown.
What was in store for the fans in Milwaukee, Wisconsin after a somewhat intense night on Monday Night Raw?
Would Brock Lesnar show up?
Was there Undertaker sightings?
Is Batista embracing the heel role?
Is John Cena hurt?
Let’s go over the results right now.
Smackdown Results
Backstage segment involving Vickie Guerrero and Alberto Del Rio. Rio wants the night off, and instead Sheamus walks in. This leads to a match between the two later on in the night.
Alexander Rusev and Lana come out to the arena and cut a live promo in front of the crowd. They’re trying to sell him, as they should. Not the best mic work, hence Lana, but he has great in ring skills.
Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio never gets started as Christian jumps Sheamus. The two (Del Rio and Christian) continue to attack the Irishman.
Batista defeats Dolph Ziggler in a pretty one-sided affair. Looks like they are jobbing out Ziggler….Sad. Batista was playing the heel role for the majority of the bout and was encouraging the boo’s.
The Wyatt Family come out to cut a promo. It’s interrupted by The Shield. Triple H then comes out and books an Elimination Chamber rematch for Monday Night on Raw. The first match was good, but what does this really do?
Divas champion AJ Lee defeats Cameron in a title match. Tamina Snuka was thrown out by the referee.
It’s announced that Brock Lesnar will confront The Undertaker Monday Night on Raw. So we know The Undertaker will be on Raw again.
Daniel Bryan and the Usos vs Kane and the New Age Outlaws. A pretty exciting match. The Uso’s and Bryan make a great team. fast and exciting. The Uso’s and Bryan won after Bryan delivered his running knee finisher to Kane.
Despite rumors and John Cena not appearing on Smackdown, it seems that his knee injury that he suffered on Raw is all part of their story-line. I don’t buy it, but that’s the news.
