UFC on FOX 6 takes place January 26, 2013. The main event will feature the first flyweight title defense in UFC history. Demetrious Johnson (5-1-1 UFC) is set to square off against #1 contender John Dodson (3-0 UFC) who has been on a role since winning TUF.
The co-main event will feature “Rampage” Jackson in his last UFC fight when he takes on rising star Glover Teixeira (2-0 UFC). The most anticipated fight on the card in my opinion has to be the impending battle against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone (6-1 UFC) and former WEC lightweight champion Anthony “Showtime” Pettis (2-1 UFC). The fourth fight schedules the long-awaited return of top featherweight prospect Erik Koch (2-0 UFC) as he is set to take on Ricardo Lamas (3-0 UFC).
The night’s four-fight main card airs on FOX, and preliminary-card bouts air on FX and stream on Facebook. Official weigh-ins for this month’s “UFC on FOX 6: Johnson vs. Dodson” event are scheduled for Friday, Jan. 25, at 5 p.m. ET (4 p.m. CT local time) at Chicago Theatre.
If you love the UFC as much as the next fan, then you won’t want to miss this! Prior to the weigh-ins, “UFC 159: Jones vs. Sonnen” headliner and “The Ultimate Fighter 17” coach Jon Jones hosts a special Q&A session for members of the UFC Fight Club, the UFC’s official fan club.
Don’t miss the champ speaking his mind and giving the fans what they want. Doors to the venue open for UFC Fight Club members at 1 p.m. CT local time, and the Jones Q&A begins at 2 p.m. CT local time. The general public is invited into the building at 3 p.m. CT local time, and UFC on FOX 6 fighters step on the scale one hour later.
