During training, Helen Harper talks about how she initially got into MMA because of an abusive relationship and ultimately how she left him because of the confidence she gained from the training.
Lanchana Green then talks about how she grew up with an English father and a Thai mother and how that is also the basis for her Muay Thai though she would normally stay away from home because of her mother’s personality.
Later on during Team Joanna training, Joanna Jedrzejczyk brings in previous opponent Carla Esparza who helps Team Joanna on their grappling skills and talks to Helen about her game plan.
At the house The Ultimate Fighter producer Lewis Massoll shows up at the house to tell Abdel Medjedoub that his wife called and from the sound of the conversation it was an emergency.
Abdel later explains that before he left for the show, he did something that upset his wife and as a result she is mad about it. During the call she demands that Abdel leave the show and return home immediately or she would leave him. Because he knows this opportunity may not come again, Abdel decides to stay on the show and Team Claudia supports him.
The weigh-ins go without incident and the match begins between the two British ladies.
In the first round, Lanchana is able to get some good strikes in despite the fact that Helen pushes her up against the cage multiple times. Lanchana’s take down defense is up to pare and the round ends.
During round two, Helen is able to take Lanchana down and execute some ground and pound against Lanchana. Because of how both rounds were scored by the judges, it goes to a sudden death round in TUF rules wherein the winner of the round will ultimately win the fight.
Round three is very close and at times Helen is able to take Lanchana down but Lanchana bounces back up. Lanchana is able to get in some good shots and knees at times and also at times gets the better of the clinch exchanges.
The judges ultimately decide the match for Lanchana, making it four victories in a row for Team Claudia.
While Team Claudia is celebrating, Claudia shakes hands with all the members of Team Joanna in the Octagon except for Joanna, who considers it disrespectful.
With Team Claudia in control again, Claudia chooses her team’s Eric Spicely to fight Team Joanna’s Elias Urbina.
