All of the fighters get into the house and start to settle in while trying to get the living arrangements settled out.
The only major issue at first is that fighter Abdel Medjedoub is stuck with the last bed in the women’s room and has reservations because of it. This stems mainly because of the fact that he is Muslim and also is married. Ultimately he switches beds with Cory Hendricks.
Next day at training, Team Claudia head coach Claudia Gadelha announces that the coaching staff will be split so that the men and woman can get separate training. The reason for this is the huge size difference between the men and women.
In between raining sessions, Gadelha and Team Joanna head coach Joanna Jedrzejczyk have a confrontation outside the locker rooms that results in members of both team breaking the two women up and talking about it afterwards.
Following a doctors visit, Hendricks is informed that he has no broken bones in his feet but that he has several contusions on his feet and will need to take it easy on the training, despite the fact that he will be facing his fellow teammate, Khalil Rountree in their match this week.
During the buildup to the fight in training, Rountree talks about how when he started training in MMA he was over 300 pounds and had several differences between the people he regularly trained with.
At the house in between training sessions, both men talk about how they don’t feel weird and how they can put their commonalities aside and fight each other despite the fact that they are training partners.
Later on Helen Harper who has been sick and can’t train, collapses in the kitchen and is helped upstairs by Rountree. Later is it revealed that she was merely dehydrated.
The weigh-ins go well except that Jedrzejczyk brings her belt in order to aggravate Gadelha further.
The actual fight lasts less then a round as Hendricks takes some strikes from Rountree but is able to take Rountree down and sink in a rear naked choke for a submission win.
Jedrzejczyk simply gives Gadalha a dirty look before the next fight announcement.
Before the actual fight announcement, Gadelha mentions that she was originally going to pick Harper for the first fight but because of her illness she instead picks JJ Aldrich from Team Joanna to face Team Claudia and overall number one pick Tatiana Suarez.
